Work for Fri 18th Jan
We're currently studying heat and thermodynamics, so in light of this, research and produce a presentation showing how a Stirling Engine works.

The Diesel Engine
The SHC for air is 0.00121 J.kg-1.K-1
Given the volume of air is 500cm3, the density of air is 1.294kg.m-3, work out how much energy is required to compress the cylinder of air.
(Hint, convert the volume of air to mass first!)
Next, if the engine is running at 1000rpm, how much energy is needed to compress the air.
Show your working.

Compression & Expansion of gasses
Monday 10th Dec, P1-3
Working in pairs, produce a presentation which explains how the following work;
Air conditioning - James & Stan
A refrigerator - Andre & Tim
Elementary maths in your presentation is desirable!
